Spring Concert Featuring Rutter Requiem
The TrueNorth Chorale and Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Rick Fortney, will present TrueNorth’s Spring Concert on Friday, March 27, 7:30 p.m. at Avon Lake Presbyterian Church, 32340 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, Ohio. The Concert is open to all; there will be a free will offering to help offset costs
The Concert features Requiem by John Rutter. The Requiem is a musical setting of sections of the Missa pro Defunctis, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Psalms. These seven sections contain prayers on behalf of all humanity, psalms, personal prayers to Christ, and in the central Sanctus an affirmation of divine glory.
