TrueNorth BigBand

The True North Big Band is a group of local musicians with a passion to play big band music and spread the message of big band jazz. Usually known as a group that plays music specific to the big band era, the TrueNorth Big Band includes music from the early part of the 20th century all the way until present. Along with being a performing group, the TrueNorth Big Band serves as an ambassador to provide its audiences with some of the history and evolution of the big band genre. In the future the musicians will have the opportunity to work with students to educate them on the different styles and techniques used in each performance.

The Big Band not only rehearses and performs at French Creek Nature and Arts Center, but also are frequent guests performing at Parkers Grille, Savannah Bar & Grille, The Vosh, and The Bop Stop. The TrueNorth Big Band was honored to perform Cleveland Museum of Art MIX in December of this past year. In addition The Big Band performs at Lorain County Metro Park’s Music under the Stars, various festivals, weddings and community events.
